May 30, 2019 – Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism Due to the scheduled opening of the Morganza Spillway, there is a potential negative impact to the ecosystem. Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser asks that Gov. John Bel Edwards includes seafood and its related industries to any federal emergency disaster declarations.
