WASHINGTON, D.C. - Tony Perkins, Chairman of Family Research Council Action PAC, announced his endorsement this morning of Billy Nungesser for Lt. Governor.

“I have watched Billy fight for Louisiana families and jobs over the past year and half and his passion and tenacity is exactly what our state needs in Baton Rouge,” said Perkins. “He is solidly conservative and pro-life. I am confident that we can count on him to advance a pro-family, pro-economic environment that will benefit Louisiana families. He is a fiscal conservative who actually cares about protecting taxpayer dollars and I know he will stand against any tax increases that will make it harder for Louisiana families to live and work. I am proud as a Louisiana citizen to stand with Billy and confident Louisiana will join me in making him our next Lt. Governor tomorrow.”

Tony Perkins is a former member of the Louisiana legislature where he served for eight years, where he was recognized as a legislative pioneer for authoring measures like the nation’s first Covenant Marriage law.
